Preparing for Your First Visit

To help us provide a smooth and comprehensive first visit, please prepare the following:

  • With your permission, we will request your most recent radiographs from your referring or previous dentist. If your x-rays are outdated (older than one year), Dr. Saqqal may recommend updated radiographs, which can conveniently be taken during your appointment.
  • A detailed medical and dental history, including any allergies and a list of all medications (both prescription and over-the-counter) you are currently taking.

Important Information

Patients under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian during the consultation.

If you have any medical conditions or concerns that may affect your care—such as artificial heart valves, joint replacements requiring pre-medication, or unmanaged diabetes or hypertension—please inform our office before your first exam.

What to Expect During Your Appointment

During your visit, we'll complete a comprehensive evaluation that includes:

  • A thorough review of your medical and dental history.
  • An in-depth examination to assess jaw and dental bone health, check for loose teeth, evaluate your bite, and perform an oral cancer screening.
  • An assessment of the temporomandibular joint (TMJ) and evaluation for signs of periodontal disease.

Our goal is to provide a clear understanding of your oral health and develop a personalized treatment plan tailored to your unique needs.
